Gouache on paper. Long flowing brushstrokes generate the shapes and feel of wings. It's hard to capture the metallic gold, shimmering paint that adds to the quality of the painting. When I think of wings, I think of protection, hiddenness and freedom. Out of that hiddenness, freedom to fly, to come alive presents itself.
